Operation New Year‘s Eve is a campaign for Americans to send a text message of greetings or support to our service men and women overseas.
1.5 million Americans are serving or have served our country in Iraq and Afghanistan. Families, friends - every American - is connected to their service and sacrifice.
This holiday season we can tell them how much we care and appreciate them. Send your personal text message to 94444, type the word "CARE", then your message, and send - $.99 will be charged to your phone bill and a portion will go to the IAVA.
Your message will be collected by Operation New Year‘s Eve. The messages will be delivered to the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan via live video streaming. Presented by The Durst Organization and brought to you by Sign Lab Media in association with Fountainhead.com.
Every evening this week - culminating on New Year‘s Eve - we will scroll a portion of the messages on the video screen at the top of 4 Times Square the tallest building in New York‘s Times Square.
So ring in the New Year in Times Square by letting every American see your show of support for our service men and women.
